Chacha Guerrero Guadalupe A. (Chacha) Guerrero
Originally trained as a dancer, choregropher, and teacher. She started touring throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico before her formal training at the prestigious Martha Graham School, Luigi Jazz Centre, The Alvin Ailey School, and Texas Woman’s University where she pursued and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance with emphasis in Choreography. Her work has been featured at American Dance Festivals throughout the U.S.  Her extensive dance training resulted in collaborating and touring with various dance companies such as The Boston Flamenco Ballet, Strong Wind Wild Horses, Co-Motion Dance, and Laredo Ballet Folklorico. Chacha has been a Guest Artist-in-Residence in Public Performing Arts Schools in the Seattle, Washington area.  She was also, a highly, requested Guest Artist at Cornish College of the Arts.  Chacha discovered the work of Joseph Pilates in 1991 while, rehabilitating a knee injury. She received her certification and training from the Authentic Method, Pilates Inc. under the direction of her mentor and friend, Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’ One and Only protégé, at Drago’s Gym in New York. and Capitol Hill Physical Therapy and Pilates Studio of Seattle.
By Romana’s request, she has traveled extensively, throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and South America, working with Pilates instructors, apprentices, and the public. In 2005, Chacha relocated to Texas with her family when Romana asked her to help her, establish the Legacy of the Genuine Pilates. Legacy, that developed into the establishment of Metroplex Pilates and Pilates Heritage with Romana Kryzanowska, Michael Rooks, and Roberto Riesco.  Presently, she continues to train, mentor, and teach throughout the world perpetuating and preserving, Romana's vision and legacy.
